(Chateau Mont Redon Chateauneuf du Pape) ($43) Deep ruby. Smoky raspberry and cherry on the nose, with exotic cured meat and cola nuances adding complexity. Rich, fleshy red fruit liqueur flavors are framed by fine-grained tannins and an element of minerality that builds with air. Impressively sweet, silky and fresh, with a lovely raspberry quality and excellent snap. 91 points |
