Noteringar:
2007-07-20 00:59 WS: Very good red with plum, berry and light mineral character. Medium-bodied, with good tannins and a long, caressing finish. Solid wine for the vintage. Best after 2005. 25,035 cases made. –JS
2007-07-20 00:59 WA: One of the two finest estates of Moulis (the other being Poujeaux), Chasse Spleen’s large vineyard is planted with 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. The ripe, generous 2001 is a chunky, fleshy, deep ruby/purple-colored effort revealing good body, moderate tannin, and an earthy, black currant fruitiness offering notions of minerals and tree bark. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring to shed its substantial tannin, and drink it over the following decade.
2007-07-20 01:00 IWC: By Stephen Tanzer Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/Jun 02 Good medium ruby. Pretty aromas of blackberry, cassis, violet and espresso. Fresh and penetrating, with moderate flesh and sweetness. Not quite green but a bit hard in the middle and firmly tannic on the finish. Aromatic in the mouth, but shows an edge of acidity on the end. 85-87 points
