Noteringar:
2008-11-24 21:16 WS: A serious red, dense with color and packed with mint- and bay leaf-scented cherry and currant flavors, finishing with a dusky note as it all lingers on the fine-grained finish. Needs cellaring. Best after 2004. 12,000 cases made. –HS
2008-11-24 21:16 WA: The 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Bin 707's dense ruby/purple color is followed by a tight but promising nose of black currants, leather, and licorice. In the mouth, there are abundant quantities of black currant fruit as well as hints of creosote, earth, truffles, and subtle oak. The acidity is high, much of it probably added, which is unfortunate as the raw materials look impressive. The high acidity compresses the palate and pinches the finish. Nevertheless, this is a very good Cabernet that should drink well for 10-12 years. Importer: Southcorp Wines, The Americas, Napa, CA; tel. (707) 258-8755
2008-11-24 21:17 IWC: By Jeremy Oliver Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Jul/Aug '02 ($80) Very deep ruby-red. Deep, opulent aromas of ripe blackcurrant, dark plum, mulberry jam and violet, along with overt but nicely integrated oak notes of vanilla, chocolate and cigar box. Sumptuous, soft and ripe, long and creamy. Steeped in crushed ripe blackcurrant and blackberry fruit. Richly endowed cabernet, with plush, smoky coconut and vanillin oak, but tightly woven around a linear spine of firm tannins. A softer, sweeter and earlier-maturing vintage for Bin 707. 91 points
