Medium red color. Superripe, concentrated aromas of prune, plum jam, kirsch and smoked meat; just this side of too much. Then surprisingly lively and fresh on the palate, with sweet, precise, berry fruit flavors complicated by mocha and roasted coffee. Finishes sweet, gently tannic and persistent.
