| 2009-01-27 20:17 | WA: The 2006 Pin is a terrific wine that captures the essence of the Spinetta style. Super ripe red cherries, flowers and sweet toasted oak emerge from this densely-structured wine. Although the 2006 Pin offers notable charm, the wine needs at least a few years in bottle to shed some of its French oak tannins. Pin is 65% Nebbiolo and 35% Barbera d’Asti Bionzo. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021. Giorgio Rivetti has another set of very solid wines on his hands with his 2005 Barbarescos.
