(Tokara Winery Red Wine Stellenbosch) (a Bordeaux blend based on 69% cabernet sauvignon) Good deep ruby-red. Aromas of mulberry, violet, licorice, tar, mint and fresh herbs. Broad, dry and backward, with a minty coolness to the redcurrant and licorice flavors. Hiding its richness today and in need of a few years of patience. Finishes with dusty but ripe tannins and subtle length. 89+ points |
