Noteringar:
2007-11-28 10:40 IWC: By Josh Raynolds Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Issue #133, July/August 2007) (Bodegas y Vinedos Pintia Toro) ($65) Saturated ruby. Intensely perfumed, expansive aromas of dark berries, kirsch, oak spices and mocha, with a suave mineral undercurrent. Rich, focused dark berry and cherry flavors are framed by strong but harmonious tannins and complicated by notes of dark chocolate, candied violet and vanilla bean. Lush and sweet on the impressively sappy, long finish. Although I'm confident that this will age well, it's mighty delicious now. (Europvin USA, Oakland, CA) 93 points
2007-11-28 10:40 WA: Bodegas Pintia is owned by the famous estate, Vega Sicilia. The 2004 Pintia comes from a superior vintage. Similarly styled to its older sibling, it is simply more flamboyant and opulent. The temptation is to drink this heady effort now but those who can delay gratification for a few years will be amply rewarded. Importer: Christopher Cannan, Europvin, Bordeaux; www.europvin.com
