Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Issue #135, November/December 2007)
(Fred Loimer Riesling Seeberg) ($39; 14% alcohol; off-dry) Medium green-yellow. The peach and apricot fruit is still somewhat dominated by a leesy element and pronounced blossom honey aroma. An incredibly powerful riesling that makes an energetic impression thanks to its vibrant acidity; a real mouthful of wet rocks and minerals. Despite still being somewhat youthfully reined in, the finish goes on for several minutes. Drink 2009 to 2018. 93 points |
