Noteringar:
2007-10-09 01:00 WA: This backward, tannic, strikingly oaky St.-Julien reveals a big structure as well as copious power and muscle, and a modern-styled combination of ripe fruit and new oak. While it requires a few years of bottle age to shed its cloak of tannin, and develop more Bordelais character, it possesses plenty of stuffing, and may turn out to be outstanding with additional time in bottle. Patience is warranted. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2025.
2007-10-09 01:00 IWC: By Stephen Tanzer Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/Jun 07 ($40) Deep ruby-red. Plum, leather, mocha, coffee and smoke on the nose. Ripe on entry, then moderately sweet in the middle, with a lightly herbal quality and some unabsorbed acidity currently giving the wine a slightly disjointed character. With its flavors of currant, tobacco and smoke, this comes across as fatter than some past vintages but today the tannins are apparent, and the finish shows a dry edge. I find the young 2006 riper, denser and more harmonious. 87 points
2007-10-12 22:20 WS: Aromas of blackberry and cherry follow through to a medium-bodied palate, with fine tannins and a fresh finish. Balanced and refined. Best after 2009. 25,000 cases made. –JS
