WA: Not surprisingly, the 2005s are tannic longer-term wines with a style not dissimilar from the Cote Roties of 1995, which were tannic and backward, yet for the most part have never come around. The 2005 Cote Rotie reveals cherry and raspberry notes, medium to full body, plenty of toasty oak, but good sweetness, plenty of raw materials, depth, and richness.
