(Domaine de Longue Toque Gigondas) Ruby-red. Impressively spicy scents of red berries, cherry, garrigue and smoky minerals. Palate-coating raspberry and cherry flavors are firmed by tangy minerals, picking up a note of white pepper with air. The sappy finish repeats the red fruit and garrigue Plenty of sexy fruit on display today. 90-93 points |

WA: Flowery, boysenberry, blueberry, forest floor, and incense characteristics give the 2007 Gigondas a complex, almost Burgundian set of aromatics. In the mouth, it offers lovely fruit, medium to full body, good freshness and vibrancy, and sweet tannins in the round, gentle, but substantial finish. It should drink well for 8-9 years.
