WS: Black in color, with intense aromas of blackberry, raisin and toasty oak. Turns to violet. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a mineral, licorice and berry aftertaste. Tight. Best after 2013. 15,000 cases made. –JS |

WA: This superficial, but satisfying 2005 possesses a dark ruby color as well as a sweet nose of cedarwood, dried herbs, tobacco, and black cherries. Decent acidity, unobtrusive tannin, and a medium-bodied, upfront style suggest it should be consumed over the next decade. |

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/June 2007, Issue #132
(Chateau La Louviere Pessac Leognan) Full red-ruby. Youthfully medicinal aroma of kirsch Juicy, primary and tightly wound but with good underlying intensity. This classically dry, structured, serious wine will need several years of bottle aging. Finishes with ripe, spreading tannins. (87-89) points |
