Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Issue #134, September/October 2007)
(Mesh Riesling Eden Valley) ($27) Pale yellow. Dusty, moderately intense mineral-accented lemon and green apple aromas are complicated by anise and white flowers. Quite dry, with stony citrus and orchard fruit flavors and bright acid snap on the back. Youthfully wound-up on the finish, where the citrus flavors recur. Give this some air, or time in bottle. Mesh is a joint project of winemakers Jeffrey Grosset and Robert Hill Smith. (Negociants USA, Nap, CA) 88(+?) points |
