(Celler de Cantonella Cervoles Costers del Segre Tinto) ($30; 40% tempranillo, 25% each of cabernet sauvignon and garnacha and 10% merlot) Deep red. A slow-to-open nose offers herb-accented redcurrant and cherry scents. Firm red fruit flavors are a touch bitter, with youthful tannins shutting things down. Gains a bit of sweetness on the finish; this needs decanting, or time in bottle. 88(+?) points |
