Still rather closed on the nose, displaying subtle hints of peppery spice and greengage plum. This potent veltliner boasts plenty of ripe, concentrated apricot and plum fruit and abundant extract. A full-bodied, creamy wine with noticeable residual sugar buffered by vibrant, harmonious acidity. This wine has a lot of everything, with alcohol close to 15% that is surprisingly well-integrated. Some tobacco joins the stone fruits on a monumental finish that lingers for several minutes. Drink from 2009 through 2020. 95 points |
