(Domaine Laroche Chablis Les Blanchots Reserve de l'Obedience) ($145) Very pure, highly nuanced nose combines grapefruit, pineapple, dusty stone and white pepper. Extremely suave and minerally on entry, then dry and classic in the mid-palate, with reserved flavors of ripe citrus fruits, white pepper, snap pea and fresh herbs. Very rich and layered but very young. Dusty, slow-mounting finish builds impressively. Less open today than the Clos, and likely to age well for a good 12 to 15 years. 93(+?) points |
