(includes some grenache blanc grapes that desiccated on the vine) Medium lemon-yellow. Complex, understated aromas of lemon drop, stone, menthol and butterscotch. Juicy and penetrating on the palate, with noteworthy energy and grip to the nuanced flavors of citrus peel, peach, cherry, pit, minerals, dusty stone, honey and licorice. Very flavorful white wine with a long, youthfully tight finish. Imagine a hypothetical blend of a top white Graves and a top northern Rhone white. 91(+?) points |
