IWC: Professional Tasting History (private)
By Stephen Tanzer
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Issue #103, July/August 2002)
(Chateau Suduiraut Sauternes) ($32-$40) Fairly pale color. Intriguing, musky aromas of pineapple, white plum, mirabelle and minerals; nose shows terrific precision. Then thick, dense and sweet in the mouth, but surprisingly tightly wound and spicy thanks to very good acidity. Not at all unctuous; in fact, still quite firm-edged. Finishes spicy and very long, with surprising cut for this wine. 92 points |
