Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Issue #135, November/December 2007)
(Brundlmayer Gruner Veltliner Kaferberg) (14% alcohol) Medium yellow-green. Dried herbs, delicate peach and apricot, tobacco and smoky flint on the nose and in the mouth. Soft and silky in texture, with a flavor of honeydew melon extending through the long finish. This complex and ageworthy wine is technically dry but one senses a bit of residual sweetness effortlessly balanced by vibrant acidity. Drink from 2008 to 2016. 92 points |
