IWC: By Josh Raynolds
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Issue #137, March/April 2008)
(Vina Casa Silva Quinta Generacion White Colchagua Valley) ($28; a blend of 40% sauvignon gris, 40% viognier and 20% chardonnay) Light yellow. Mineral-driven lemon, green apple and jasmine aromas are bright and precise. Taut and sharply focused, with energetic citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a warm, round finish. I found the hint of heat to be a distraction, but this blend offers good, deep fruit. 88 points |
