(St. Hallett Wines Riesling Eden Valley) ($16) Pale chartreuse. Vibrant lime, pink grapefruit and pear on the nose, with an energetic mineral quality gaining strength with air. Dry, sharply focused citrus flavors display impressive depth, picking up talc, quinine and white pepper on the close. Really stains the palate, leaving a strong impression of lime pith and minerals behind. I really like this uncompromising style. 90 points |
