IWC:
By Stephen Tanzer
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Issue #131, March/April 2007)
(Cape Point Vineyards Semillon Cape Point) ($35) Pale, bright yellow. Very fresh aromas of spices, grass, orange oil and snap pea. Supple and fat but slightly bitter-edged, with flavors of citrus zest and jalapeno. Not quite as intense as the sauvignon bottlings, but juicy, clean and bright, with good density. I would have picked this blind as sauvignon blanc or even chenin blanc. 88 points |
